Beautiful vintage Coro Duette convertible double bird brooch / dress clip set, featuring a pair of exotic tropical birds perched among colorful flowers. Each bird is decorated with clear pavé-set rhinestones, blue and green enamel detailing, colorful enamel flowers and dimensional silver-tone metalwork. One bird has a small red rhinestone eye. The ingenious Coro Duette construction allows the two birds to be worn together as one dramatic brooch or removed from the center mechanism and worn individually as dress clips. Center mechanism is marked: CORO DUETTE PAT. 1798867 A wonderful example of collectible figural Coro jewelry and an especially striking piece for collectors of vintage bird, animal and convertible jewelry.
