Rare vintage Bally Made in Italy convertible handbag dating approximately to the late 1970s–early 1980s. Crafted in supple black leather with warm cognac brown crocodile-embossed leather panels, this cool design features oversized circular cutout handles wrapped in matching embossed leather, allowing it to be carried by hand, plus a long shoulder strap for versatile wear. The front is finished with a small gold-tone Bally “B” emblem engraved BALLY, while the interior features a gold foil serif BALLY MADE IN ITALY stamp, leather lining, magnetic closure and zip pocket with an older-style BLITZ zipper. The sculptural circular handles and sweeping wave-shaped contrast panel give this bag a distinctly modernist late-20th-century look. A particularly uncommon Bally design and a beautiful example of the house’s earlier Italian leather craftsmanship.
