Vintage R Landerholm Sweden Modernist Pewter Pendant St George Dragon Mid Century. This beautiful, authentic piece of vintage Mid-Century Modern Scandinavian jewelry. This cast pewter pendant was designed by the acclaimed Swedish goldsmith and artist Roland Landerholm (1928–1993) during the 1960s/1970s.The front features a striking, primitive modernist relief depiction of St. George slaying the dragon, heavily influenced by early Viking age art styles. The deep, blackened background creates a wonderful contrast that makes the raised silver-toned figures pop.The reverse side is fully hallmarked with the Swedish national triple-crown symbol, stamped "TENN" (Swedish for pewter), and features the designer's authentic hand-etched signature "R. Landerholm". Condition:Excellent vintage condition with a beautiful, rich natural patina. The details are crisp, and the hallmarks on the back are completely clear and legible.
