Vintage Murano art glass bird in the style of a swan. This piece showcases the sommerso technique with deep red inner layer followed by a light green layer, and finally a clear outer layer. There is gold paint on the head & beak. While not "uranium glass", the piece does glow a vibrant green under UV light in the 365nm range. Approximately 10.5" tall, 5-6" wide around the body (depending on where you measure), and weighs just over 3 lbs. In very good used/vintage condition with no chips or cracks and typical age-related wear. Please see pictures.
