Underneath, pure utility: point collar, epaulettes, two-way zip, welt pockets, drawstring hem, rear expansion vent and buckled cuffs. Cinch the removable belt for a feminine, architectural silhouette; leave it loose for borrowed-from-someone-important swagger. And the hardware. Warm polished gold against stormy black, including substantial RALPH LAUREN-engraved buckles. Jewelry with a weather system attached. Wear it over ivory silk to dinner, cashmere and jeans at the airport, or something considerably less sensible after midnight.
