Vintage Porcelain Salt Pepper Shakers Hand Painted Roses Gold Gilt Cork Pair

A romantic vintage pair of porcelain salt and pepper shakers decorated with vibrant hand-painted red and pink roses, green leaves, pastel blue and yellow accents, and ornate gold detailing. Each shaker has a curving, flared silhouette with a rounded pierced top. Star-shaped gold accents surround several of the shaker holes, and both pieces retain their cork stoppers underneath. These unmarked shakers have a beautiful Victorian-inspired appearance and would make charming display pieces in a cottage, shabby chic, or traditional kitchen. Exact maker, country of origin, and production date are unknown. Their porcelain construction, cork closures, hand-painted decoration, and styling suggest early-to-mid-20th-century production, but this cannot be confirmed. Sold as a matching pair. There is substantial fading and loss to the gold decoration, along with surface wear, discoloration, small paint losses, residue, and general aging throughout. The cork stoppers are present but appear dry, darkened, and deteriorated with age. No maker’s marks were found. Not tested with salt or pepper. Best suited for collecting or decorative display.
