Antique Canadian University & College Woven Tobacco Silks (c. 1910–1915)

Up for sale is a fantastic, highly collectible lot of 22 vintage woven cigarette/tobacco silks featuring various Canadian university and college crests. These premiums were originally issued inside cigarette packages by the Imperial Tobacco Company of Canada in the early 1910s (often categorized under the SC12 / Canadian Miscellany series). Each silk measures approximately 2" x 3". They feature beautiful, vibrant woven graphics of historic school coats of arms, shields, and crests. These premium silks are bright with sharp coloring. There are some minor signs of fraying along the raw edges, light creasing, and natural age-related discoloration as is typical for textiles over 110 years old.
