Hand Painted Byzantine Wooden Icon Virgin Mary Panagia Giatrissa Egg Tempera Gold Stunning, certified hand-painted Greek Orthodox Byzantine-style wooden icon of Panagia Giatrissa (Virgin Mary the Healer). Unlike common printed replicas, this premium piece comes with its original Certificate of Authenticity and wax seal on the back. It is hand-painted using traditional egg tempera and gold on canvas over old wood. Perfect for a collector, prayer corner, or home altar. Excellent Pre-owned / Used Condition. The painted surface, egg tempera details, and gold background accents are fully intact with no chipping, flaking, or major scratches. The colors remain deep and vibrant. The hanging hardware on the back is secure and ready for display. The scuffed edges, wood grain dark washes, and weathered look are entirely intentional features of the artist's hand-distressing technique, designed to replicate the appearance of an ancient museum-grade artifact.
