Vintage Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Bead Necklace

This is a vintage Chinese export blue and white porcelain bead necklace, hand-painted with traditional Shou (longevity) symbols. The spherical beads mimic classic Ming-style porcelain pottery and are individually separated by hand-tied red silk accent knots. ~ Hand-crafted and glazed white porcelain. ~ Cobat blue calligraphy, paired with structural red silk thread hand-knotted securely between each bead. ~ These styles gained significant popularity mid-century. ~ 20" long with beautiful boxed clasp.
