Vintage MYLU Santa’s Sleigh With Christmas Packages Rhinestone‎ Brooch 1960s

This vintage MYLU signed Santa’s sleigh rhinestone brooch features a bright, textured gold tone sleigh filled with Christmas packages. The Christmas packages are textured, gold tone metal with accent decorations of shiny red, crystal and green rhinestones. Santa’s sleigh has swirling filigree runners, and a beautiful green leaf decoration on the side. The brooch is signed ©MYLU on the back. It’s a great vintage Christmas brooch to wear to celebrate the holiday season! MYLU was started sometime in the mid-1950s by two sisters, Lynne Gordon and Marge Borofsky. The company made Christmas jewelry and some figurals. The jewelry is made of good quality materials, and has innovative and whimsical designs, making it a favorite of Christmas jewelry collectors. MYLU joined Coro in 1968, and the MYLU division made Coro’s Christmas line. Coro was fully purchased by Richton International Corporation in 1970, and the sisters left at that time. Coro closed in 1979, and the MYLU name was not used after the closure. In 1972, the sisters partnered with Michael Tancer, and formed the company Tancer & Two (marked Tancer II). Some of their MYLU designs were rebranded and reused by Tancer & II.
