50’s Garden Tea Party Dress

This Vintage 50’s/60’s Sleeveless Dress is so precious. It’s feminine, in a classic shift cut, with the most beautiful all-over floral design: Raised, textural fabric pink peonies, with gorgeous buds that look like magnolia but whimsically designed in gorgeous blues here, with green stems. Fully Lined. Metal Venus Zipper, dating the dress to the 1950’s. I’d never let this go but I’ve had it since the 90’s and it’s too tight now. No tag, appears hand-made/sewn and very well done at that! You can see the hand-stitching in the zipper in the last photo. Will fit a modern Size 0: Measures 17” underarm to underarm and 12.5” across the waist. No stretch. 38.5” long. Lined in white gauzy cotton from the waist down and has a back vent. I envision this at a summer garden party. I would pair it with a short strand of pearls, as I’ve styled it with my beloved late mother’s. Excellent Vintage Condition! No stains but there are a few very tiny/unnoticeable pinholes.
