GANSCRAFT 30’s Chimayo Blanket Hand Woven Vintage Baby Blue Coat S • Julius Gans This is a late 30’s to early 40’s Chimayo Blanket Coat by Southwest Arts & Crafts by Julius Gans. Many of Julius’ pieces were featured in Fred Harvey’s catalogues and this piece is GORGEOUS. From my personal collection, I have never worn it. It was a bit too small in the shoulders for me, sadly. The coat has a stunning design on the back in reddish-burgundy, white and black. The sleeves side and front have the matching striping and a Deco white accent to the sleeves. The coat is baby blue and has 2 patch hip pockets and a single etched, HUGE silver metal waist button. Notched lapel, large collar with matching silver button and corded cuffs. The coat has a partial lining. The coat is in VERY GOOD condition with some light nothing throughout, but presents incredibly well. A few small soil spots throughout. The lining needs a cleaning and should be resewn at the armholes. The waist button should also be moved over for a better fit. MEASUREMENTS- Best for a Small to Medium.
