This is kind of difficult to show, but basically the string appears much longer on the left shoe because it is pulled out and does not thread around the back of the heel like it’s supposed to. If you look closely at the first two images, you can see that the right shoe has the leather lace through the hole in the tongue, whereas the left shoe does not. What I’m talking about is hidden by the fleece collar that goes around the heel.
