This is a 3-envelope lot of official vintage United States Postal Service (USPS) "Distinguished Marines" series First Day of Issue postmarked stamp covers from 2005. Each envelope features a beautifully detailed grayscale portrait illustration (cachet) on the left side matching the legendary individual depicted on its corresponding 37¢ stamp. All three covers feature a unique diamond-shaped "Semper Fidelis" emblem cancel and the official first-day-of-issue postmark from Camp Pendleton, CA, dated November 10, 2005 (the historic anniversary of the Marine Corps). Originally addressed to a private collection, these envelopes are unsealed, flat, clean, and in great condition. Marines Included in this 3-Piece Lot: Lewis B.
