Vintage Princess Charming by Atlas Floral Wicker Handbag

Beautiful and unusual mid-century Princess Charming by Atlas structured handbag featuring a white woven wicker-style body with a dimensional pastel floral scene beneath a clear protective panel. The front features pink, blue, yellow and white flowers with greenery, pearl-like accents, gold-tone details and a striking black ribbon/bow motif. Finished with white handles, gold-tone trim and hardware, and protective feet. Lovely pink fabric interior with a center zippered divider and additional zip pocket. Original Princess Charming by Atlas — Hollywood, Fla. maker’s label remains inside, along with the Fifth Avenue Bag Shop — Ocean City, N.J. retailer label, adding wonderful period character and provenance. Condition: Vintage condition with age-related wear. The clear protective panel shows yellowing/cloudiness, surface wear and wrinkling. Some floral decorations beneath the panel have deterioration/petal loss, with a few loose decorative fragments visible. Gold-tone trim and handles show finish wear/chipping, with minor marks/discoloration to the white exterior. The woven body remains nicely structured and the pink interior is well preserved for its age. Both original labels remain intact. Unrestored and left as found.
