This pendant is a piece of art, history, and the making of modern jewelry craftsmanship, the box in Russian says “Fabergè - Moscow - London “ the pendant itself is marked 56 (Russian pre-revolutionary 14kt gold mark) and Russian makers mark initial, from my research I believe it could be Karl Fabergè himselfs mark but can not confirm, from my research it does seem only the higher level craftsman were allowed to make things with such intricate detail as this pendant it is truly unbelievable how it is made. This is not glass this is a clear quartz carved to perfection for any French bullldog, bulldog, or small dog lover! Even your art historian bestie! I think it’s from between 1908-1917 definitely before 1917 and after 1903 but 1908 is just my guess based on other designs I have seen that are very similar that have been more accurately dated, I got it from an art dealer a little bit ago and am willing to let go of it to someone who will understand it’s importance and love it like I do!
Delicate carved bulldog pendant by Fabergé. Clear crystal showcases refined facial detail. Small loop for attachment to chains or bracelets. Subtle, elegant accent piece.
