suzannemoThe code on the coat I pulled up and it tells me it was another brand with the label, first I was surprised to see the code and the only reason I know this is I manufactured my a brand and required a code so I know how what it is. I hope you did not pay full price nice coat just giving you info, I also pulled all the Balmain coat like you description land it only came up on Poshmark

closetforyou777I looked further into the CA 00985 number you’re referring to. It appears that CA 00985 is a Canadian textile identification/registration number and is not a Balmain style or authenticity code. The same CA 00985 appears on garments from numerous unrelated luxury brands, including Dolce & Gabbana, Isabel Marant and others, so searching that number and having another brand come up doesn’t indicate that the garment is from that brand.

closetforyou777The Balmain garment code on my label is 9154C213. This coat was purchased by me directly from Holt Renfrew, so I have no reason to believe it is anything other than an authentic Balmain garment. If you have found something specifically concerning about the Balmain garment code, construction, labels, or the coat itself, I’m happy to look into that, but the CA 00985 number alone isn’t evidence that the coat is counterfeit.

suzannemothank you for your message I should have dug deeper before I sent the message to you and I am sorry. Holt Renfrew is a high-end retailer that imports and sells authentic designer goods like Balmain, Balenciaga, Dolce & Gabbana, and Tory Burch in Canada. Because they imported the item to sell in their stores, their Canadian registration number is legally printed on the care tag. I have never seen that explanation before so again it was my mistake
