(2/$20) Vintage Abstract Looped Gold Tone Stick Pin

This vintage stick pin is cool, but very weird! It has two balls made of looped gold tone metal, one ball sticking out of the other. I'm not sure if this is how the pin originally looked or if it was supposed to be something more easily defined. The pin has a sharp bottom and a cylindrical little cover. One piece of the looped metal appears to stick out more than the rest (pic 5), but it doesn't move and there are no issues that affect wearability.
