Spencer Alexis Boutique 2-piece Dress\Jacket Brown & Metallic Gold Lace, XL

This is a maxi-length dress and jacket from the Spencer Alexis Collection from the early '00s. The jacket front features the designer’s love of mixing media: it’s a patchwork of different fabrics, colors, applique and crochet elements, plus an embroidered knot closure. The materials used in the three-quarter length sleeves feature two kinds of delicate lacework, and the material on the back of the jacket matches the dress fabric -- a silvery-gold metallic open weave with a floral design that covers the dress’s brown lining. The dress has a plunging neckline, then falls straight for about 30” until it flares out and ends with a high-low hem. Made in the US, the material is a blend of acetate, silk, nylon, and metallic threads, and the fabric gives a little. As with most of the long dresses in my collection, this was bought for a wedding. Having only been worn that once, it’s in as-new condition.
