This Latin phrase translates to "Either Peace or War". It underscores the clan's readiness to defend itself while remaining open to diplomacy. * The Banner: The banner at the base reads "Gunn", designating the family lineage. * The Background: The crest is mounted on a fabric backing woven in the distinctive Gunn Clan Tartan, usually characterized by dark green, blue, and black bands accented with a red overcheck.
