Up for sale is a beautiful piece of mid-century Americana! This authentic 1950s wood plank wall plaque was manufactured by Sackson Bros. (Ocean Park, California). It features a stunning, vibrant oil-painted depiction of a Native American chief in a traditional feathered headdress riding a pinto horse. The graphic is applied directly onto a solid slab of rough-sawn wood, letting the natural grain serve as the background. While Sackson Bros. is famous for their mid-century Mexican dancers and matadors, their Western and Native American themed plaques are highly sought after and much harder to find. Maker: Sackson Bros., Ocean Park, CA Markings: Features the original, highly legible circular ink stamp on the back reading: "Oil Painted / Made in U.S.A." Hardware: Includes the original, intact scalloped metal folding hanger on the back. Condition: Excellent vintage condition with crisp paint, bright colors, and clean wood grain. Perfect addition to a cabin, gallery wall, or mid-century Western decor collection.
