This signed ART necklace features an elegant gold-tone zigzag-link design, beautifully adorned with sparkling multicoloured rhinestones and luminous matte-frosted glass cabochons in soft shades of pink, green and blue. The necklace was created by Mode-Art Jewelry Company, founded in New York City by designer Arthur Pepper. Mode-Art pieces were marked ModeArt, Mode-Art or simply ART ©, as seen on this necklace. The company was celebrated for its finely crafted Victorian, Renaissance Revival and Art Deco-inspired designs. Based on its hallmark, styling and construction, this striking necklace dates to the 1950s–1960s. A refined, highly collectible statement piece with unmistakable mid-century glamour.
