Burberry Orchard Studded Olive Leather Bowling Satchel Bag

Authentic Burberry Orchard bowling bag in olive/mustard leather with gold-tone hardware and an extraordinary amount of studding. This is Burberry from the Christopher Bailey era, when the house wasn't remotely afraid of embellishment. Hundreds of graduated gold-tone dome studs cover the front, back and sides, becoming increasingly dense toward the bottom of the bag. The effect is almost as though the studs are pooling at the base. It's maximalist, but surprisingly sophisticated maximalism. The bag has the Orchard's rounded bowling silhouette with double rolled leather handles, full top zipper, protective feet and dark fabric interior with zip and slip pockets. Burberry plaque at the lower front; interior leather Burberry label and Made in Italy tag. The olive/mustard leather is particularly good with the warm gold hardware—and considerably more interesting than another black handbag. Condition: Very good pre-owned condition. The bag retains its shape beautifully and the corners show no significant rubbing. There are a few light marks and scuffs to the leather, including marks on the base, all photographed. Minor normal wear is present around the handle attachments and hardware. Interior shows light evidence of use. Studs appear intact.
