Authentic Bally satchel crafted in Italy from exceptionally soft black nappa leather with oversized polished metal hardware. This bag is basically an argument for buying Bally for the leather. The body is constructed with deep vertical pleats that give the leather a soft, gathered appearance while the enormous metal rings and curved hardware across the top provide a wonderfully disproportionate counterpoint. Subtle it is not. Double rolled leather top handles attach through oversized rings, and the bag closes with a full top zipper finished with a substantial leather-and-metal Bally pull. The hardware is warm gold tone. The bottom continues the pleated construction around a smooth center panel, giving the bag an unusually finished appearance from every angle. Interior is lined in black Bally fabric with organizational pockets and a gold-tone BALLY 1851 crest plaque. Condition: Very good pre-owned condition. The nappa leather remains exceptionally soft and supple with light creasing and minor signs of normal use. No significant corner wear noted. Hardware shows visible surface scratches, finish wear and areas of tarnish/patina, particularly on the large rings and curved upper hardware.
