They appear to be on the inside of the glass and cannot be felt if you run your finger over them. There is a chip on the bottom of the glass shade, also smooth to the touch and not super noticeable when the lamp is being displayed. A hairline crack on one side of the shade and one on the top of the shade, which is extremely hard to see unless you are looking for it. Would still work and look fine since it is a stationary object. TESTED & WORKS perfectly. Very pretty lamp overall. Please read descriptions and see all photos as I'm only human.
