Lot of 2 vintage sheer net/tulle petticoats or slips, sold together for repair, repurposing and heirloom sewing. These are especially nice as a source of vintage netting and trim. Although the upper/waist portions need repair or replacement, the lower tiered sections remain in good usable condition and provide a generous amount of vintage material. The two pieces are made from different types of net: • Larger/heavier petticoat – constructed from a more substantial open-weave net with multiple gathered tiers and bound seams. Appears to be the older of the two. • Lighter petticoat – made from a fine, lightweight sheer mesh/tulle with multiple gathered tiers and finished with pretty pale blue and white lace trim along the lower edge. Both have opaque white upper/waist sections. Condition: Both pieces are clean but are being sold as cutter/repair textiles rather than ready-to-wear garments. The waist/upper tier and elastic areas need repair or replacement, with loose/broken stitching and age-related wear present. The lower tiers are in much better condition and offer plenty of usable vintage netting. Please see photos for construction and condition. Wonderful material for heirloom sewing, antique or vintage doll clothing, costume restoration, miniature garments, bridal projects, decorative sewing, textile study, or salvaging authentic vintage net and lace. Approximate era: 1930s–1960s; the heavier net petticoat appears earlier than the fine-mesh blue-trimmed. #Haberdashery

fanniesshoppe@33tess The larger is ~30.5” and the smaller ~27” in length. The top panels would need to be reinforced or replaced if they are to be worn.
