Beautiful true vintage brown cordé handbag, likely dating to the 1940s. Features intricate raised floral and circular crochet work, two matching top handles, zipper closure, snap fastening and a decorative gold-tone leaf zipper pull. Constructed with a burgundy interior lining, brown satin backing beneath the open crochet work and a concealed rigid base/stiffener at the bottom to help the bag hold its shape. Bag was found stored with newspaper dated May 16, 1993, showing it had been carefully packed away for decades.
