So for a while I was obsessed with finding the perfect burgundy comfortable loafers or Mary Janes, and these are them. They're great. Do I wear them? No. I've tried them on a few times, but have never actually worn them because most of my burgundy clothes are fancier things I would wear with heels. Sigh. Anyways...great quality leather shoes from Toronto designer Maguire. Size 40. Comes with box and original packaging. There is a tiny bit of creasing at the toe from trying them on and walking around the house, but they have never been worn outdoors. These are sold out on the Maguire site, but there are some listed on Garmentory for $245 USD. I paid $280 CAD.

roisin_reid@brittany_dunn92 the first photo is from the brand website, the others were taken with flash so the colour looks a bit lighter. The colour name is "oxblood" -- it's more of a dark red burgundy, than a wine burgundy.

roisin_reid@lstortz96 the insoles are not removable. There is good padding on the heel and a bit of arch support (but not a defined arch support like in a running shoe, they just aren't completely flat)

roisin_reid@bryonyritchie I typically find EU sizing more consistent, and I almost always wear a 40 in EU. These are a 40, and I'd say like a US 9.5 or even a smallish 10 (some brands a 40 is listed as 9). I can wear cotton socks under these no problem and there's a tiny bit of room at the toe.
