This breathtaking ivory gown has the most beautiful ethereal, Art Deco-era feel. I believe it dates to approximately the late 1920s to very early 1930s (c. 1928–1932), based on the silhouette, construction, delicate lace/netting, and extensive hand-applied beadwork. The gown features a luminous, fluid ivory satin-like fabric with a gorgeous draped silhouette and an incredibly delicate lace/net overlay. The lace is lavishly embellished with tiny beads, pearl-like accents and shimmering details—there is an almost unbelievable amount of handwork throughout this piece. The waist is especially spectacular, featuring an ornate Art Deco-inspired beaded medallion with cascading strands of tiny beads and pearl-like drops, creating a dramatic fringe effect. The ensemble also includes: 🤍 A long detachable/trailing piece that creates a beautiful train effect 🤍 A charming vintage floral headband/headpiece 🤍 Delicate lace/net sleeves and shoulder overlay 🤍 Extensive vintage beadwork and embellishment 🤍 Beautifully fluid, bias-like draping and an elegant elongated silhouette Condition Please note that this is an antique garment approaching 100 years old and should be treated accordingly. There are some age-related marks and staining, which are visible in the photographs. I have not attempted to clean this piece because of the extremely delicate lace/netting and extensive beadwork. I strongly recommend professional evaluation and cleaning by someone experienced with antique textiles.
