Vintage WB Pheasant Bird Sculpture #2271 Weidlich Bros Silverplate Centerpiece

Striking vintage silverplate pheasant sculpture by Weidlich Brothers Manufacturing Co. of Bridgeport, Connecticut. This large decorative bird has a wonderfully streamlined form with a long graceful neck, elongated tail and beautifully modeled feather detail. The sculptural silhouette gives it an elegant, almost Art Deco appearance and makes it especially handsome displayed on a mantel, dining table, sideboard or among collected vintage silver. The underside is marked with the W.B. Mfg. Co. shield trademark, pattern/model 2271, and COPYRIGHT USA. Weidlich Brothers was an American manufacturer known for decorative silver-plated hollowware and figural pieces during the first half of the 20th century. Measures approximately 15" long × 7" tall × 3" wide. Vintage condition with age-appropriate patina, surface wear and areas of plating wear as shown. I have intentionally left the aged finish rather than aggressively polishing it. No magnetic attraction was detected.
