Two Hand-Embroidered Thread Vietnamese Landscape Figurative Art, ~8x10” Each

Genuine (bought from an artisan in Vietnam) thread/textile wall art- two beautiful scenes! Both of these thread art or fiber paintings are frame-able & feature traditional Vietnamese figures and rural life/ landscape. Soft thread is used like paint to create the scenes. One piece is mostly dusky blues & grays, black & white, showing the ocean, boat & two figures at the edge of the water, near a tree; the other piece is a gorgeous scene of two women walking together, shadows behind them in colorful blue/teal, yellow, black, pink and white stitched details for striking contrast. These are new (without tag or brand) handmade pieces of artwork. (In Vietnam, traditional needle-based textile thread work is most famously practiced as Vietnamese silk embroidery (thêu tay truyền thống), where artisans use fine threads on fabric which creates a painting-like texture (similar to other folk traditions.) It is hand-sewn onto a very fine, semi-translucent sheet of fabric. Once the artisan finishes the piece, they cut the fabric from the working frame. Because raw embroidered silk is incredibly delicate, fluid, and prone to wrinkling, the artisan will stretch the completed fabric tight and tape to paper to keep thread flat & taut.) I ship quickly!
