This authentic vintage Coach Lafayette Tote is a masterclass in minimalist design and quiet luxury, handcrafted in July 1997, in the United States from Coach's legendary, thick glove-tanned leather. The leather has been perfectly conditioned which gives it its rich, deep black hue and signature buttery, supple texture, which is why these vintage bags look so amazing after 29+ years. The original hangtag is attached with its classic brass ball chain and the horseshoe shaped buckles are shined up beautifully. This open tote has a magnetic snap closure for easy access whether opened or closed. The inside is raw leather, which is in immaculate condition, in addition to the small zip pocket, where you’ll find the creed stamp, where you should put your keys, phone and wallet. If you don’t use it—god speed finding your shit in this bag!!! You could probably lose a Prius in it!!! This in my opinion is one of Coach’s “sleepers”. That term is usually used in the car world for the ones that don’t look like what it really is. This tote is a classic. It’s clean looking. No “Logomania”. It’s the ultimate heirloom piece and the perfect introduction for anyone looking to invest in their very first vintage Coach bag.
