L.E. Smith Glass Company Daisy & Button crimped nut or candy bowl (Model #778) was produced during the 1960s. L.E. Smith company initially opened its Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania factory in 1910 and pressed thousands of patterns across its long history, its vibrant colored glass lines surged in popularity during the mid-century modern era. The rich, dark amber colorway paired with dramatic crimped or ruffled edges was a staple of their 1960s catalog before the "Daisy & Button" glassware line was ultimately discontinued in 1972.
