PLEASE WATCH FOR OUR MANY OTHER ROYALTY ITEMS TO COME Rare and historically fascinating vintage Paragon China bone china commemorative plate celebrating the planned Coronation of King Edward VIII, scheduled for May 12, 1937. The plate features the Royal Coat of Arms prominently displayed in the center, surrounded by a distinctive molded medieval-style border inscribed “EDWARD VIII KING AND EMPEROR” and “Crowned May 12th 1937.” *** Stand is not included *** Paragon had already produced coronation souvenirs before Edward VIII abdicated in December 1936 to marry the woman he loved, making surviving examples especially interesting to royal memorabilia collectors. A wonderful display piece for collectors of British royal history, Paragon China, commemorative ceramics, and unusual coronation memorabilia.
