Beautiful Mohawkite cabochon stone set in sterling silver with a genuine pearl bezel set in the bail. Mohawkite is a very rare, semiprecious gemstone found in only one area of the world-the Mohawk Mine in Michigan. Sometimes referred to as snowflake Mohawkite, high quality cabochons like this one have striking golden and silver colored patterns that naturally occur in white quartz stone. The entire stone is covered with a beautiful golden metallic lattice pattern, which is not visible in all photos due to the convex shape which interferes with light reflection. Approximate measurements: The stone is 2" long, and the width is .5" at the top, extending to just over 1" at the base Including the bail, the pendant is 2.5" long The rounded bail is designed to accommodate small to large chains, chokers, collars, etc. Approximate weight: just over 1 oz The stones themselves are in excellent condition with no noticeable flaws. Light surface wear to the silver, mostly on the back. Carefully cleaned and polished, but silver could be polished more if desired. Please take care when wearing and cleaning as it is considered a softer stone.
