Vintage Thai Benjarong Lidded Mugs - Cobalt Blue & 22K Gold Hand-Painted - Pair

Stunning, authentic pair of vintage Thai Benjarong lidded porcelain mugs! This is a "coordinated but distinct" collector's set. While both mugs share the exact same rich, deep cobalt blue background, shape, and bright gold trim, they feature two different traditional hand-painted floral motifs—one a neat repeating floral blossom pattern and the other an intricate, swirling Kranok-style vine and peony motif. Benjarong porcelain is famous for its distinct, slightly raised enamel work that you can actually feel when holding it, beautifully accented with genuine 22K gold gilding. Two mugs with two matching lids. Originally purchased directly in Bangkok, Thailand (original V.J. Prachachuen market price tags, in Thai bhat, is still affixed to one of the lids!). Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or fading to the enamel. The gold trim is bright and highly reflective. Hand-wash only with a soft sponge and gentle soap to protect the gold detailing.
