This is an authentic Steel Blue vintage Coach Sonoma Flap Bag. It is an absolute unicorn as far as the colorway is concerned. The color is like no color I’ve seen before—it almost mimics a chameleon. It’s really kind of a shifty color. It’ll go from looking baby blueish to a silvery to a grey steel like color. It’s a shifty tone that is moody indoors and completely wakes up under natural outdoor light. Very cool in person!!! From what I’ve read , it’s one of those bags that collectors actively hunt for because of the rarity of this color and because of the mid 90’s Italian production runs of leather have a completely different silky, velvety hand-feel that is unmatched by any other era. It’s made from premium tumbled natural nubuck cowhide. Which is extremely thick—making this bag built like a tank. The bright white contrast stitching is beautiful and clean throughout this entire bag. The solid brass hardware is heavy and clean. I did add a brass hangtag to this bag, as the original didn’t come with it. The strap is in perfect condition. The curved front flap has the extremely strong magnetic snap and the iconic Sonoma blue striped lining is immaculate!!! No rips. No stains. You could eat off of it—I don’t recommend that, but if you had to, you could. This is the larger of the Sonoma bags, so you will lose shit in it—but it also means you can fit a lot in it too.
