Extraordinary vintage Arnold Scaasi / Scaasi Boutique evening gown dating to the 1980s. This dramatic black ball gown is fashioned from sheer tulle with a dimensional velvet-flocked floral motif, layered over contrasting nude lining and black tulle to showcase the pattern and create exceptional depth and movement. The strapless fitted bodice is extensively ruched through the bust, waist and hips and finished with a romantic sculptural ruffle. The gown falls into an extravagant asymmetrical tiered skirt with dramatic bustle-like volume through the hips and back.
