Up for sale is a wonderful piece of Midwestern community culinary history: the Home Cooking cookbook, compiled by the Bethel Baptist Youth and printed by the renowned Walter's Cookbooks out of Waseca, Minnesota. This spiral-bound collectible is filled with authentic, localized comfort food recipes contributed by community members (such as Judy Peterson's Sticky Sweet Buns and Irene Schurlock's unique Cheerio Muffins). It also includes a charming handwritten bonus recipe for Refrigerator Yeast Rolls on the extra notes page! This book was a well-loved kitchen utility item! Pages are fully intact and perfectly readable. There is authentic cooking-related staining/spotting (oil/grease splatters) which adds to its rustic, vintage charm. The front cover features a beautiful, bright pastoral farm scene. There is minor chipping/wear to the paper cardstock at the very top edge near the plastic comb binding (see close-up photo).
