De Nicola was a maker of high end costume jewelry. His items were always made of top quality materials with first class workmanship. This turtle is a fine example of his work. Circa: 1950s ~~~~~~~~Measures 1 1/4" by 2 1/4" The base of the item is a rich gold tone metal with a textured surface.  Green glass stone eyes. The body is amber brown bezel set. The underside has the De Nicola logo. This turtle has been in several jewelry books. Very good condition. Minor loss of gold color on toes and gold edges of jelly belly stone setting area. Great collectors piece!
