An elegant survivor from the Edwardian table. This set of four antique Royal Doulton Countess plates pairs delicate green neoclassical garlands, medallions and tiny floral details with a softly scalloped edge finished in gold. The restrained green-on-ivory palette makes these remarkably easy to mix into a modern table—beautiful with white china, layered with other antique patterns, or used as luncheon, salad or dessert plates for a collected tablescape. Each is marked Royal Doulton England, COUNTESS, Rd. No. 523784. The registered design dates to 1908. * Set of 4 * Royal Doulton, England * Countess pattern * Rd. No. 523784 * Green transfer decoration * Gold-trimmed scalloped rim * Measures approximately 8.875" across * Early 20th century In good antique condition with age-appropriate wear. One plate has a small chip along the rim, as shown in the close-up photograph, with associated loss to the gold trim. Additional wear to the gold edging and minor age-related marks/discoloration are present. Please review photographs closely for condition.
