I have 4 kids and my husband have 2 for a previous marriage,so I'm bless with 6 kids, 2 daughters and 4 sons, and 5 grandkids, 1 girl and 4 boys. Also Aurora my spoil furry baby, who think my bed is hers and I adore her!! Last but not least a really good husband, he's my rock, my best friend and an amazing dad! And the 64 in my closet is a fun story, when I first decided to have FB I wasn't proficient in internet at all so my oldest son did it for me and he mistakenly put 64 instead 63 wich is the years I was born. LOL and I keep it because he's always been jelous and posesive with me. I had him at 18 so when he was a teen many times hes friends ask for his "sister" and he got super mad, so the 64 thing is a family joke! Lol

I was too, diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 3 years ago and also have 2 back surgeries and the meds make me feel so tired most of the time

I'm trying to make the most of my posibilities, so I do meditation and yoga to help me cope, but as you know for sure, isn't easy. I was use to work in a really fast pace enviroment and do a lots of sport, social life, house, kids, grandkids, travel, etc. And if you listen to my Dr. a little bit OCD LoL and it's a big adjustement not having control!

My husband helps me a lot. fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome are so meshed together, so I get the tired thing. I hope you're on effective pain meds. You have smaller children, that's hard. . I was an RN, and worked 18 years in hospital (OBGYN), and then 6 years on the phone in the clinic settings as advice/ Triage RN. The pain got so bad, that I just couldn't do it anymore. I am sure you miss being active too. All that energy I had, wow. Imagine what we can do with all that energy now!

scarletsecrets @silvimom64 Meditation is sooo effective, but I can't say I've been very good at it lately. Yoga was very difficult for me. It hurt so much, but afterwards it felt good because of all the stretching they make you do. If you're still able to do it, Excellent. silvimom64 @scarletsecrets I see that too, we have a lot in common!! I use to volunteer at the local Hospital too. I miss all that energie!! I been doing yoga for a long time, now I just change my routine to just streching, and take a long bath with salt afterwards. That's the reason I could keep doing it, but nit everyday as I was acostum too! And for the meditation part, there is some guided ones that are really good on you tube, because is hard to do it by yourself with the pain!

We live in Orlando, Fl, I love it here and also for my fibromyalgia and arthritis is the best weather, can't stand the cold. I was working, exercising, yoga, taking care of our home, helping one of our daughter with our grandkids while she when back to school after her divorce, we had a active social life and travel often and between the Fibro and the many surgeries on my back I barely get out of my bedroom.

silvimom64 @pmharn Hopefully this surgery it's going to work and I can be myself again. I put everything in God's hands! It's frustrating when can't do something that we were use to do it! With my husband we use to own a restaurant, a night club and a Insurance office and I was working, close to 70 hrs, as a fina cial advisor for J.P Morgan Chase, so you can imagine going from that to barely getting out of the bedroom.

She had two daughters, one who now teaches school in the Philadelphia slums, and another girl in her 20s who majored in Spanish. She has lived in mexico, madrid, and paraguay.

pmharn @silvimom64 no, my niece lived in Quito, Ecuador for a year or two. But my cousin worked in either Paraguay or Uraguay for 2 years in the Peace Corps. I actually lived in Tegucigalpa, Honduras for 3 months back in 1980.

silvimom64 @pmharn Absolutely! I'm almost 54, have 6 kids, 4 biological and 2 from the heart and work hard my whole life. I'm not the fragile delicate flower type at all! Lol and was raised by my hard working grandparents and they teach me that if I want something in life I have to work for it, nothing is hand out for free! When I first come to this country 15 years ago with no money and nobody was waiting for me, I work contruction for a year.

silvimom64 @pmharn The Dr says it a degenerative disease of the spine plus a lot of arthrosis wich cause stenosis wich is the narrowing of the space were the nerves go throught to the rest of the body. The presure on those nerves has cause permanent damage and hence the pain. Hopefully the surgery tomorrow it's going to fix that partially and I can at least function

silvimom64 @pmharn Hi Pat, in a lot of pain, Dr say it was worse than he expected so it had to cut higher into the toraxic part so it cut muscle and for that reason it's more painful than expected. But I'm home now with a LOT of painkillers but be home make feel better. Thank you so much for your care and prayers, I really appreciate it!
