May 02Reply

May 02Reply
meg23
meg23@closet_du_jour wow!
May 02Reply
briewineposh
briewineposh@closet_du_jour Oh I low-balled it bc it depends what rotation they put you on. I've noticed SUs that have been one for years are lower than where I'm at, and I only became one about 4 months ago. Get ready Meg...your feed will blow up no matter what..when you're listed. It's awesome. 😍😍😍
May 02Reply
meg23
meg23@brie309 I know they've changed up the rotation system recently. Supposed to be more frequent rotations and more customized. That being said ppl that are kind of random sizes (like a couple I've seen that are XXXS petite! Lol) might not get as many as ppl who are more common sizes. Also I wonder if they match up based on brands that we sell and new users follow. If so the SUs with more variety might get recommended more often.

May 05Reply
meg23
meg23@brie309 so stupid question, do you know when you're on the rotation?
May 06Reply
briewineposh
briewineposhUmm yes...you get a few hundred notifications & your followers move up around 1k
May 06Reply
meg23
meg23@brie309 my followers increased a few hundred the other night. Maybe just a coincidence because it was just that one night. How long do you usually stay on the rotation?
May 06Reply
briewineposh
briewineposhHmmm few hundred is rare so you had to be listed. Everyone is diff. I'm usually listed 2-3x per week. It's at diff times too. You should get a trickling for an hour or two, then a blast for one hour. Some ppl are listed a lot less or a lot more. I've tried to figure it out, but all I've come up with is that it's better to be an SU now than a year ago. Many more followers now
May 06Reply
meg23
meg23@brie309 so when you are listed it's usually just for a couple hours? I had the impression it was for a whole week, which is why I was surprised when that upward trend didnt continue! Lol. That makes more sense!
May 06Reply
briewineposh
briewineposhOh it changes every hour! Go to the main menu & click find people. That's where you'll see the ppl listed for that hour. That's when the torrent comes in. 🙌

meg23@anoliver thanks! I'm over the moon excited! Surprised too-- I sent an email requesting to be a SU but didn't think I would actually get it! (Not the first time anyway, I thought it was one of those things where you have to ask a couple times then be recommended, etc!) Very honored! Thanks for celebrating with me!
May 08Reply
meg23
meg23@brie309 ok so this far the two times I've been in the SU rotation have been in the middle of the night, but I think I just was during the 4pm hour! So surprised! (I figure the middle of the night was when the suggested "newbie" SUs like me!).
May 08Reply
meg23
meg23@brie309 also I got some really awesome info from your friend Elle (thanks @vance28)! She now has a blog with all things posh and I read the most informative article about how the SU rotation works! She had an awesome idea about sharing your items nonstop the hour you're listed (she said she usually gets a sale or two doing this!).
May 08Reply
meg23
meg23So far I wouldn't have been able to so that (bc I'm usually on the list at 2pm-- I'm snoozing!) And then this time I totally could have but I don't realize it til just now! 😠 Mad at myself!
May 08Reply
meg23
meg23@brie309 so I take it back, I didn't miss my chance, I'm still in the rotation for this hour too! (And sharing my stuff like a maniac! 😁😝) But I didn't realize I would be able to see my own name in the suggestion list! I thought it was customized for each user (in which case I would see ppl suggested for me-- not myself?) So I'm a tad but confused but crazy excited!
May 08Reply
meg23
meg23@brie309 my follower count has increased about 400 in the past two hours alone! And guess what big milestone it just pushed me over?! 20k! Woo hoo! (Now I will leave you alone 😉)

May 09Reply

meg23@infinitelyposh no worries! Just tell them why you love posh, then say that you would like to be considered for SU and list some reasons why you would be a good one. Just say it all as if you're talking to another posher. Trust me I'm sure they get plenty of cheesy bragging emails. Be polite and classy. End by thanking them for the consideration. Don't be scared!

meg23@bake_me_a_cake hey girl how did it go hosting last night? It's so much fun but it totally flies by doesnt it?!
May 11Reply
bake_me_a_cake
bake_me_a_cake@meg23 it was a blast. I had a lot of fun! I was up until after two. It didn't seem like it flew by. I had enough time to pace myself and still chat here and there while I was cohosting. I really enjoyed it and would definitely do it again.
May 11Reply
meg23
meg23@bake_me_a_cake it totally flew by for me! And I didn't even try to check my news feed to chat with anybody because my feed got up to 900. But it was totally fun! Glad you had a great time! I'm at work but gotta check out all your HPs later!

May 14Reply
ball_mom
ball_momYes! I am a SU, and you are super sweet. 💕. Thank you! That dress is still hanging in my closet getting no love. I haven't worn it once. 😭. If you still want it, I will give you first dibs. There is another JC dress that I might relist, too. I have that one listed way high at the moment but could drop almost in half. I'll tag you. No pressure on either! Just a heads-up! I know how it is to find something you love and then not be able to grab it. And congrats again!

meg23
meg23@thestarrynight sounds like there's only one thing you still need to do-- email them! I think it's su@poshmark.com (check @amberrrrrrr 's closet, she has a listing with the email address for SU and cohosting). Just send them a brief email stating why you think you're qualified. Takes a while to hear back (about 3 months in my case), but one day it'll surprise you.
Jun 11Reply
meg23
meg23@thestarrynight Another idea is to ask to cohost first. Then you can list cohost as one of your posh accomplishments in the SU email. (Seems to be a toss up to me as to which usually comes first I've seen it both ways). But anyway just ask! That's what I did for cohosting and SU! It worked!
Jun 11Reply
meg23
meg23@thestarrynight keep waiting then! 😠 Not what you want to hear I'm sure! Seriously tho I emailed about hosting in December, got the email in February. Then I emailed right after my party to ask about SU (while my name was fresh on their minds). That was February and I got my email in May. I had actually forgotten!
Jun 11Reply
meg23
meg23@brie309 @closet_du_jour no kidding about the followers skyrocketing! I just topped 30k! Big jump from 17k when I started as suggested user barely over a month ago!
Jun 11Reply
meg23
meg23@proverbs_31 @pre_pa514 can y'all believe I just hit 30k? 😱😳 Btw I totally recommend that y'all send in your suggested user request not long after your parties (that way your name is still fresh in their minds). I'm sure y'all will be SUs soon! In the meantime, expect a jump in followers (and sales!) during the week of your party! 🎉🎉🎉
Jun 11Reply
briewineposh
briewineposhSee! Yay! 🎉🎈🎉🎈🎉
Jun 11Reply
proverbs_31
proverbs_31That is so awesome!! And I have to say, I have a greater appreciation for SU now, since the party. When searching for HPs, it was so frustrating to find items that would be perfect HPs, then to see unsupported items in the closet and have to pass. I was so happy to see a person was a SU because I didn't have to worry, and could trust they followed Posh rules! @pre_pa514 there's a tip lol!
Jun 12Reply
proverbs_31
proverbs_31And WOW, that is REALLY impressive!! I'm so excited for you!! 😘 I guess I should just email them? I've always shyed away from "bragging" on myself, so it kinda feels weird to write that email... But I don't see any reason they wouldn't want to make me a SU?
Jun 12Reply
meg23
meg23@proverbs_31 that's actually a really good perk of being a SU, as well as a great tip for cohosts! After the dust has settled from your party, I would love for you to add a section to my cohost listing with tips you learned! (Ditto for you @pre_pa514!).
Jun 12Reply
meg23
meg23@proverbs_31 no there's definitely no reason they would turn you down, I think you'd make an awesome SU! I totally understand tho, I'm not the type to brag either! I kinda took the approach of saying thank you for all the opportunities I've had (like hosting) and for making posh such a great place to shop. Then I said I would appreciate being considered for SU and started listing my qualifications (cohost, #followers, #sales, #HPs, 5star rating, etc). Short and sweet tho.

I have not sent in any request, someone hinted to me recently that they were going to for me, that would be amazing. I felt weird about requesting it myself! I considered it though & if it doesn't happen then I may after my party like you said. @proverbs_31

Jun 16Reply
meg23
meg23@brooke1120 you're really not supposed to. That being said, I can't say I read every listing in someone's closet before I have her a host pick. So you may overlook some. But they really expect you to select your host picks from closets that follow all posh rules.

meg23@nyreecox thanks again for including me on your list! I have a few closets that I'd like to recommend if you're interested in adding more to your list! I listed their names below w/I tagging but they have all liked this listing, so they'll be easy to find. Check them out! Megan (proverbs_31) Claire (pre_pa514) Brie (brie309) Kristin (closet_du_jour) Sarah (sarahtennis)

meg23@proverbs_31 btw I sent in an email today asking to host again. I figured now that it's been several months I would qualify to be a repeat host. I hadn't even really thought about it, but the past couple of weeks several of my PFFs and posh mentors have announced they're hosting their second or even third. So fingers crossed! We'll see! Maybe by then you'll have heard back that you're a SU!

Thanks again for including me!

meg23@briewineposh Hi Brie! Hope all is well for you! Gotta proposal for you... I have TONS of stuff I need to get rid of but sadly due to a lot of stuff going on in my personal life lately I just don't have time to list everything, let alone share nonstop.
May 04Reply
meg23
meg23@briewineposh Would you be interested in buying a big bundle of items to resale? All NWT with no defects. From belk, Kohl's, TJMaxx, Ross, stitchfix, and online boutiques. Original prices total over $700. I have an itemized list (I'll tag you in a pic of it, can add a few pics of the stuff if you want). If you're interested lmk!

briewineposh
briewineposh@meg23 Hey you! I've been slowing down too. I appreciate you thinking of me and it's so tempting! However, Meg I have sooooo much of my own to list ..like hundreds (and I want to go through my closets again!) of things and its overtaking my second bedroom. If I didn't, I'd def be interested. Try Let Go or make listings on here for a fab price (as is...no measurements) and see if you get bites. Everything ok with you!
May 04Reply
meg23
meg23@briewineposh totally understand! I may take a lot of it to a consignment store but thought all the NWT stuff might do better on posh. Might save it til I have more time to list.

bmrsnrally
bmrsnrallyHey there! I am MIA on & off here, but wow! Look how you have grown! You deserve it! I am a Poshmark Ambassador now too. It was odd actually because I hadn’t been active in a long time & got on & saw it in my account info after noticing my followers had jumped. I need to get active again because it’s such a good community!

meg23@bmrsnrally hey girlie! Good to hear from you! I’ve been MIA a lot too, I had all but quit posh for a while but have just recently started checking back in. I’m keeping it simple tho, just a few listings and only sharing on occasion. But I’ve made several sales since I’ve been back so that’s been good!
Oct 14Reply
bmrsnrally
bmrsnrally@meg23 that’s great! It can be a lot to keep up with while having a busy life. I desperately need to do a big closet clean out soon though!
Oct 14Reply
meg23
meg23@bmrsnrally I do too! I have a friend that recently opened a consignment store, I’m thinking about just dumping a ton of stuff with her! It’s crazy how much stuff I have in my closet that I never wear!

bmrsnrally@meg23 that sounds so much easier! I posted just a few things last night & it felt like it took forever!

meg23@jamielennon hi I saw that you liked a couple boots I have listed. They’re currently priced at $22 each but I’m really needing to clear out my closet so I can give them to you for $35 for both pair. If you’re interested lmk and I’ll make a bundle listing

meg23@briewineposh hey girlie! Random question... can another user delete a comment I made on her listing? I commented on a necklace listing to verify the length, as the one she had listed were way off. My comment originally showed up on the listing but now it’s gone. Any idea what gives?
Jul 27Reply
briewineposh
briewineposhHey Meg! I’ve been told if you flag the comment it’ll disappear. I’ve never tried it, but supposedly it works.
Jul 27Reply
meg23
meg23@briewineposh hmm interesting! Does flagging it report it to posh?
Jul 27Reply
briewineposh
briewineposhDon’t think so. If you report the person that’s diff. I think the computer knows to delete if flagged bc of all the spam we used to get (context me at such and such email).
