It's nearly impossibly for anything by: Gucci, Hermès, Salvatore Ferragamo, Yves Saint Laurent, Burberry, or Louis Vuitton because 98% of the listings are blatantly fake— because of users such as him. The app moderators must either have no concern or no common sense, because it's obviously a pattern.

The hard part about this app is that there are so many fake "designer" items posted and so few serious buyers that sales on high quality items are very unlikely (unless you happen to have a particularly desirable item, Or have a specific item that someone coincidentally is searching for).

life_style @swampstalker this, of course, shouldn't discourage you from trying! Merely keep your expectations reasonably low if your items are of a high value. A slew of counterfeit-specific buyers drown out the genuine items and often scammers try to persuade purchases to be made away from this platform (which raises alarms for sellers whom will not have protection from cons).

life_style @lesmarques thank you for your kind words. You may or may not know this, but I’d like to inform you that all of your “Ermenegildo Zegna” products are counterfeit. The ‘Taslimant Collezioni’ label was never produced by EZCo or EZ Group, and led to a lawsuit due to the illegal use of Zegna tags/marks/etc.

lesmarques @life_style Taslimant Collezioni and Menswear store in NYC is not 100% correct, and how do i know this, as I am the one that sold the suits to them, and have done so for 7 successful years or great business. The truth is I dont always buy stock fabrics from Zegna in the Biella warehouse, and sometime buy stocks from brokers.. In that year i did get involved with a MIXER as i call it now..

lesmarques @life_style When i found out through a importation at customs for 400 suits. The report showed that 20% of the fabrics where not in fact Zegna, and simply very nice fabrics. Which to the eye and touch, how would I know.. But the other 80% were real. I do admit to being fooled.. Twice..

lesmarques @life_style As Menswear shop is a client, he as well had a small % which trigger the investigation. Nothing was done in the end, as it was 5 suits or so.. But in the 14 years of selling in NYC, as well non exclusively selling Zegna fabrics. I also buy from Loro Piana, Reda, Vittale B which are in a group the best fabric makers in the world. I am 1000% non of the suits on poshmark are part of the MIX.

lesmarques @life_style Aswell these are the last remaining pieces in the USA, and I am selling them less then it cost me to produce. Just to close the business. As now we only sell from Europe. I am sure the suit is constructed as good or better then a Zegna or Canalli, as I use the factory of Canalli and Ferre to produce Taslimant.. And the manager of the factory told me I make a better suit from the inside and accessories..

The funny thing is I would have never known until a issue with customs, which my lawyer clarified. But truely I never see the case with Menswear store until i googled it after my assistant forwarded your message. I just talked to the owner years after over a beer. I thought he was joking or made a story out of nothing.. Apparently nice guy. Most people would linch me..

I’ve worked with Burberry, personally, and am very familiar with their Desert Hills outlet (I was there 2 days ago, and will be there again on Friday for a special order). Buying pieces at a designer outlet would not void the authenticity of the item, but can sometimes change the quality/place of manufacturing (a topic for another time).

life_style @emilyann0702 Also, continue to shop those designer outlets for deals, but beware of the brands who produce Made-For-Outlet items with lower quality standards. Even then, they’ll still be authentic since designer outlets are authorized retailers of their own operation! The Burberry outlet you mentioned is currently being remodeled— making the variety of their inventory low, but it should be complete around the end of August (and they’re having a great sales event now)!

andrewmendez38 I love buying the real thing for a fare price sometimes people don’t wear it or just forgot about it so it’s nice to get it at a fare price if it’s well taken care of and original shape or form but I don’t like buying fake stuff takes the point out of luxury thanks agine .. life_style @andrewmendez38 unfortunately, this app has become over saturated with counterfeit merchants making fake accounts to post duplicate products. If you see a Burberry swimsuit, I’d consider it 99% likely they they’re fake (as, when I last checked, the app only had 2 authentic listings in total).

Tom Ford, as you mentioned is great. Other swimwear I recommend would be: Ermenegildo Zegna, Orlebar Brown, Vilebrequin, and La Perla Best of luck with the search; feel free to tag me in future listings that you are skeptical about :)

However, the cut/shape of the tag, stitching on the button, and the color/placement of the hanging loop are consistent with an authentic piece.
