@courtneyq20 Hi Courtney, under your "My Seller Tools" there is a section "Get Your Boutique Started" it has all the information on qualifying for a boutique. Once you've met the requirements than you are able to shop wholesale through Posh and if you have a reseller certificate there are several good wholesale companies you can shop outside of Posh. More than happy to help you out with that as well. There are things to be wary of. Hope that is helpful. Let me know if you have any more questions

I've recently been able to purchase items from the wholesale portal, but I see so many posh closets on here with gorgeous items (boutique) I can't find in the portal. I see in your above comment something about a wholesaler certificate. Is that separate from the Posh certification? TY π·

@sarahbeans13 Hi Sarah, yes it is separate. You have to get your reseller permit through your state and whatever other business license they require. You can google reseller permit MA and you should find what your state requires. Once you've obtained your license than you can shop wholesale venders outside of Posh. Hope that is helpful. Also, there is a charge to obtain your license. π

I've noticed Poshers leave their items listed for a long time. Should that be my expectation? Sorry if this isn't the correct forum for this. @sarahbeans13 Hi Sarah, this is fine too ask questions and I am more than happy to help. There is a forum in the Poshmark app @official_forum. Also, there is a blog online that is helpful blog.poshmark.com. As far as sales go it does take time and goes up and down. But a few tips, search the items your selling and make sure prices are comparable to others selling the same, share and follow as much as possible. I have to say following as many people as you can has helped a lot.

@sarahbeans13 If you follow they usually follow back and you have your items show up on more feeds and then get more shares. I play a lot of follow games which is very helpful. You can go to my closet and follow everyone I'm following to catch up on all the games you missed out on, you should start seeing a difference....

@sarahbeans13 Also, sales will probably be a bit slow this time of year beginning of next year. In general that is what I've experienced in retail. Keeping new items coming in your closet often keeps people coming back a lot to see what's new.

@sarahbeans13 Not a thing sweetie, I haven't had many since the week of Xmas. Also, be sure you share a lot of closets that are following you and from your feed. Try for every hour. And attend parties, I check out most of the parties, when I'm awake, and share from parties , you can share your items that are theme appropriate and that gets your closet noticed as well. @sarahbeans13 I think everyone is slow right now. Don't give up, I know I go through spurts of selling a lot then slows down for a week or more at times. I started using Instagram more and I use Pinterest, other social media would help too I just don't have the time to keep up with all of it right now but it might be worth your time if you have it!

I started my closet mainly to shop so I didn't put much thought into naming it, unfortunately you can't change the name of your closet. πI hope that changes but I can see how that would get confusing to shoppers if closet names changed all the time.

@aunttomany Honestly, about Merc, it is probably good for its purpose which to me is anything goes, I haven't put much time looking into it but I'm very iffy about it, for a boutique anyway. I also get frustrated when someone trys to redirect me to Merc to purchase an item so they can take a smaller cut or they can't accept my offer on posh only on Merc. I don't need anything that bad.

@gobuyshoes No, I'm glad you said that... I went to the site several months ago & backed out. It wasn't the comfy Posh feel. I wondered what I didn't get abput it because I didn't want any part of it. So we are on the same page, there for sure. I see ppl throw the name out so I went to check it out. No more than that, not for me! I love Posh, & although I see ppl get angry @ fees, I am thankful & agree they need to get a cut, which to me is very fair.

@aunttomany It is more than fair for all they do. Imagine the advertising alone if you had to promote all by your lonesome, plus the safety of purchasing from total strangers. I don't get the hoopla over shipping, like you said I've paid soo much more to ship, it is priority mail, I don't think people realize this, it probably would be cheaper if they wanted to wait 5-7 days, which most do not.

@aunttomany Hi Nancy, sorry for the delay, fibromyalgia been acting up and then some crazy tries to carjack me, scared the bejeezus out of me! Been an awesome week. Anywho, the apps I use the most are Rhonna (design, collage, magic), Photoshop (fix, mix, lightroom), and Moldiv. There are others I play around with but those should be sufficient. Let me know if you are looking to do something specific that those don't have. Have a great evening.

Aww ty, but no hurry on the aps, its a busy time for everyone. I look fw to having time to redo my closet. I am not even decorated yet! My bf had pneumonia wk b4 Thanksgiving & it kicked his butt! Hes in excellent shape so I understand now why the elderly cannot recover from it. So XMas decor is priority now. Ty ty! By the way, not to sound weird but your new pics are beautiful!
