Hi! I'm Alexis. Relatively new to Chicago. I moved here from ATL.
I work in the construction field, but dream of being a florist back home in the NC mountains. I love design and thoughtful style.
I’m here for the laidback, CA cool vibe, but I love classic, tailored pieces as well. And boy do I love a good neutral. I’ll take a good clog over heels any day, and I still love overalls.
Only natural fibers here, and I love small, under the radar brands.

Lots of packing around it and I stuck a gift inside the purse . I switched boxes this morning , I found a better sized one for it and I left your note in the other box so I wrote you a note at the post office lol.

Hi Alexis — First off, thank you for your shares! Second, I noticed your post that mentions some basic rules for your closet, and I have a question. You have some really lovely higher end items, and I read your request that people not lowball you — totally fair. My question is, where do you draw the line on what is a lowball offer? I have received what I consider to be some lowball offers, and I am new enough here (started mid-October) that I’m not sure how to handle these situations.

Usually I try to take my emotions out of it and counter at what I consider to be a reasonable price. I’m open to negotiating, but I’m not going to be ripped off. I have made a sale doing that and have several other counters ignored. I try to look at comps before posting items, but sometimes I question myself and wonder if I am expecting too high a price. I would appreciate any advice you’re willing to give. Thank you, and I hope you are enjoying the holidays!

So, customarily, anything less than 20-25% below asking price is considered pretty low. If people make really low offers, I initially counter, but if they persist with the low offer, I simply decline. If they habitually make low offers, I block them. Personally, I find it rude for others to offer something like 50% less than list. @fccandles @uppityminx @jewelsie @maux_lux are all wonderful and may be able to provide insight too 🖤🖤🖤

I price to have some wiggle room because it seems that people want to negotiate even if your price is super fair to start with, but 40% off? Puh-leez!!! My counter was completely ignored, which is probably for the best.
