Modernist Abstract Abalone & Rhinestone Rope Chain Necklace

This necklace is made of a silver tone metal and has an adjustable lobster clasp closure. The links on the extension chain are paperclip links suggesting the piece was made after 2010. The chain is a sturdy rope chain with rounded links and the pendant has a dedicated tube-like bail from which it hangs. The pendant is made in an abstract modernist style, featuring silver tone ovals accented by colourful pieces of abalone shell. There are long narrow metal accents as well, and faceted white/clear rhinestones. If you look closely there are small floral details under the abalone. Though the necklace is not stamped and is most likely not silver, it has a nice weight to it and is a complete piece. I haven't seen many pieces quite like it, and I really like the combination of the bold abstract shapes and dainty floral details.
