Porter Yoshida & Co Rucksack/Backpack in Black Nylon Satin with Tanker-series rescue-orange accents
This iconic Japanese-made bag is renowned for its durable nylon twill construction, which is inspired by the U.S. Air Force MA-1 flight jackets, and its signature "rescue orange" interior lining.
It is made from a custom-developed three-layer fabric that is lightweight yet durable and water-repellent.
Features a paracord drawstring closure covered by a “d-ring” strap-fastener, along with multiple exterior and interior pockets for organization. Back straps also utilize these same adjustable d-ring fasteners in a wider size.
Uses Porter branded metal YKK zippers and grey-coated Hasi Hato (THK) snap closures that are designed to develop a unique patina over time as the coating rubs away.
Size (flattened):
Width- 15.5”
Height- 15”
Depth- Tapers from 0” at top to 4” at bottom (the unique design allows the bag to form freely to whatever is stored inside.
I used this bag once while travelling in Asia and it worked perfect as a “personal item” holding my MacBook Air and iPad Pro and various other items including a few small clothing items etc.
The only notable flaws are a few scuffs on the bottom of the bag and very light rubbing off of the grey coating on the snaps. Otherwise it is in amazing condition. There is one Velcro closure on one of the front pockets, which is in perfect condition. The side zip as well as the inner pocket zipper work perfectly.
