Are you looking for a little fun in the sun? Why not try your hand at making a “pot in a pot” succulent arrangement. This is just one example out of numerous possibilities along with some helpful tips.
When creating a succulent arrangement in a mixed container it is important to select: a pot with good drainage holes, well draining soil, and plants that work well together.
I chose the Echeveria Pulidonis for it’s gorgeous red edges and small size. As a stemless plant it is slow growing and only reaches 8” inches high. Another rare stemless plant is the Haworthia Cooperi var. Truncata; this plant is from South Africa and grows in 3” inch clusters. I especially love the translucent tips that let more light through; they also resemble the shape of grapes or jelly beans. The third plant I have chosen is the Burro’s Tail which is a long trailing Sedum that can grow 4’ feet long. As these plants grow to fill the pot the Burro’s Tail will grow over the edge and trail down the sides.
This arrangement is not for sale however I am looking into selling some of my plants separately.
