Stunning purple-blue round centre stone surrounded by brilliant cut small cz. These are NOT diamonds, and this is a simulated Tanzanite from a collection called Gem Illusions (I believe). Sterling silver, split shank with stones down the side of the band. Approximately size 8. This is a special and unique colour - I love it! Like having an amethyst crossed with a sapphire. Treat yourself.

janiep1968 @saadewji hi there. Tanzanite is a genuine stone. I don’t know the weight, but I would estimate the size is 2 carats. It’s set in Sterling silver with CZ stones around it. 😃 it’s from a private collection that I have inherited.

prairieskygirl With all due respect, a genuine tanzanite of that size and depth of colour would Never be set in sterling silver with cz. I own several imitation tanzanite (as well as genuine); it’s incredible how they resemble the real thing, right down to the pleochroic properties. It’s possible that this is from the Gem Illusions collection on the Shopping Channel.😊❤️

janiep1968 @flakydanish thank you for your insight. It’s entirely possible as this is a collection of my moms. Even so, this is reflected in the price. Rhodium is actually an expensive way to plate silver, so this is not out of line. 🌸

janiep1968 @flakydanish as well, I clearly taste that these are not real so nobody assume they’re diamonds. Lab cut crystals are valuable and especially if someone cannot afford the real thing. 👍
